On 23rd May Holy Trinity Church are hosting a Pentecost party from 11.30am onwards. It is for all ages and all are invited – please take party food.

Evening service 30th May

Back to church Sunday

There will be a session at St Thomas’ church on 7th June 10am-12pm to introduce this exciting venture which we are considering running in our church. Do go along if you are interested and available. It will be led by Michael Harvey the founder of Back to Church Sunday. The date of this is Sunday 26th September.

Soup lunch

A2B invite everyone to a simple soup lunch on Sunday 23rd May. Donations will be welcome towards the work of Christian aid. All welcome!

Table top sale

Saturday 22nd May – for the Church building project. Plans are now being made for this event. We will need some helpers on the day for stalls, coffee etc, help to set up the tables etc on the evening before, and help to clear up and tidy the building at 1pm at the end of the sale. Please support this event and offer help where you are able. Please let us know asap if you would like your own table. Bric a brac, books, cakes and produce, and plants will all be needed for the church stalls please. If you can take a poster for advertising please let us know. Anne, Barbara, Elizabeth, Rosemary, Sarah and Wendy (Fundraising group) Snowdrops now ready!!

KESWICK CONVENTION

2010 Election Special – Prayer Event

Thursday 29th April from 7.30pm at The Shakespeare Centre, Highgate, Kendal. The General Election along with District Council Elections takes place on Thu 6th May. During this concert of prayer we will carry the focus of our intercession to Constituencies, District Councils, Cumbria and the Nation. We invite you - congregations, fellowship groups and prayer groups of this opportunity to stand together in prayer for our district, region and nation as we approach this important election.

The Roger Jones musical about Pentecost and St Stephen’s life. Saturday 15th May in Kendal URC at 4.30pm. Monday 17th May Penrith Methodist Church at 7.30pm. Tickets available on the door. Everyone invited to the conclusion of the tour at Carlisle Cathedral for ‘The Big Sing’ on Saturday 22nd May at 6.30pm. If you want to take part in ‘The Big Sing’ you should arrive at 2.30pm for rehearsals.
