WORSHIP
Our church exists to increase awareness of God’s presence and to celebrate God’s love. We seek to do this by
- Ensuring that our worship is centred on God
- Providing opportunities for all ages to worship together
- Providing a variety of styles of worship
- Regularly reviewing our worship through the Worship Consultation Meeting.
LEARNING AND CARING
Our church exists to help people to grow and learn as Christians, through mutual support and care. We seek to do this by
- Providing a variety of different study groups/fellowship groups
- Running a membership course when the need arises
- Having a pastoral system which seeks to ensure that all are valued and cared for.
SERVICE
Our church exists to be a good neighbour to people in need and to challenge injustice. We seek to do this by
- raising awareness of peace and justice issues through our display and through inviting speakers and preachers
- running a Traidcraft stall
- charitable giving both on a regular and emergency basis
- praying for needs in our community and in the wider world
EVANGELISM
Our church exists to make more followers of Jesus Christ. We seek to do this by:
- Running courses such as Alpha or Essence
- Trying to share our faith through friendship evangelism
- Running social events which are accessible to non church people
- Providing groups which are open to those who are not church members eg over60s, friendship group, totters, youth club
