Catering for visitors is a really effective and ejoyable way of fundraising and we would like church members to help promote this for next year. If you have friends and relatives who are likely to visit Kendal please consider enclosing a copy of the invitation with your Christmas cards, so that they can let church and other social groups etc khow whaqt we can provide encouraging them to come to this area for a day trip or holiday.

Next year the Cumbria district going for growth day will be called “Wild about Jesus” and will be led by the Rev Steve Wild who is the chaire of the Cornwall Methodist District. It is from 10-3 on January 30th at Penrith Methodist church. Lunch will be provided and there are children’s activities run by Y kids. is an ecumenical initiative to offer sensitive, low key prayer for healing on the streets of Kendal. A pilot scheme will be running for a couple of hours on the 3 Sundays leading up to Christmas.
