Celebrate Passover as Jesus did at the last Supper
Sandylands Methodist Church, Kendal
Sunday 20 April, 2008, 6.30pm
No cost - bring food to share
The Passover is essentially an extended family celebration at home, so we are keen for it to be a family occasion with young and old present. Singing, worshipping, chatting and enjoying a good meal are all interwoven.
The meal is very much part of the occasion. Each person or group is to bring enough food for a reasonable evening meal (first course and dessert) to share with others from a buffet. Traditional Passover recipes are available from Beth Dennis if you want to be adventurous! Some drinks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
The event lasts about 3 hours but passes very quickly.
To book a place phone 01539 733929 by 13 April.

Sunday Club are looking for new leaders - one or preferably two. It is not an ‘every Sunday’ commitment: it would be 2 a month or fewer. If you think this is somewhere you could help out please see Jane or Alastair McNeill.

This is advance notice of series of 4 study sessions on Tuesday evenings April 29th and May 6th, 13th and 20th. The sessions will be led by Andrew and based on a resource produced by the Methodist Church which has the title ‘Time to talk of God – recovering Christian Conversation as a way of nurturing discipleship.’ It would be good if as many people as possible were able to attend these sessions as we seek to move forward as a church in openness to God and talking about our faith.
More details in due course but please put the dates in your diary now!
